Swiss House is a detached guest house offering individually decorated rooms, all with en-suite, TV with freeview, tea & coffee tray, hairdryer & alarm clock. Full English breakfast, vegetarian breakfast or lighter options.
Our normal hours for accepting arrivals are from 15:00 to 21:00.
For all bookings we will take your card details and hold them until after your departure. A deposit of £10 per room per night may be payable. This is deposit is refundable up until one calender month before your arrival date. After that time it is non-refundable. Please see our Terms & Conditions for more details regarding cancellation.
On departure you can pay by credit/debit card or cash. Please note there will be a 3% charge for CREDIT cards (not debit cards). I'm sorry but we no longer accept cheques. You do not have to pay the balance with the same card you used for booking and deposit.

Prices:Prices are based on 2 people sharing a double room. The price includes accommodation plus any board indicated. Unless clearly stated on the booking form all extras such as additional meals, telephone, drinks etc are additional.
We accept the following forms of payment: cash, debit cards and credit cards, but not American Express. Please note that a 3% charge will be made on CREDIT cards. There is no charge for debit cards. This charge will also apply to any deposit taken. There is no charge for balances paid by cash.
A deposit may be taken of £10 per room per night. This is refundable up until one calender month before your arrival date. After that time it is non-refundable.
If your visit is within 14 days of your booking then the full amount of your stay will be taken from the card supplied.
Pets:Pets are not permitted.
Cancellation and Insurance:Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid becomes non-refundable within one calender month of your arrival date. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. In the event of a cancellation within 14 days of your arrival date then the full balance is payable. For this reason you may wish to take out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.
If you request to move a booking to a different date within the times stated above, this will be viewed as a cancellation and the new date will be treated as a new booking.
Non-availability:We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Arrival:Your accommodation will be available from 3pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please let us know your estimated time of arrival as sometimes there will be no-one on the premises.
Departure:Please be ready to vacate you room at Swiss House by 10.30am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Your bill for the balance of your accommodation and any extras or services taken during your stay is payable on departure unless the amount has been paid in full prior to your arrival.
Damages and Breakages:Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but any damages which require professional cleaning or repair will be charged to your account.
Liability:We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Data:Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer.
